Wilford J. “Willy” Muchler, 70, of Keuka Park, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones, leaving behind a life filled with family, hard work, adventure, and many cherished memories.
Willy’s love of cars began in high school with auto painting and grew into a lifelong passion and career. That passion eventually led him to own and operate his own K & K Auto Parts store, in Penn Yan, alongside his wife Sharon. This is where he built not only a business, but lasting relationships with the people around him. He was a generous and hardworking businessman who was always willing to lend a hand.
Outside of work, Willy had a sense of adventure. He loved his Fatboy motorcycle, vehicles, antiques, and the excitement of an auction. But of all the things that brought him happiness, nothing compared to the joy he had with family, especially his grandchildren and close friends.
Willy will be remembered for his generous spirit, his passion for cars and most of all, the love he gave to his family. He leaves behind a lifetime of stories, memories, and people who were fortunate to know and love him.
He was predeceased by sons, Kurt Muchler in 2010 and Karl Muchler 2011.
Willy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sharon; daughter, Marcia Muchler; step-daughter, Kami Byrns; son, Kevin Muchler; step-sons, Adam (Paola) Wolfe and Aaron (Julie) Wolfe; daughter-in-law, Christine (Dan) Muchler-Pickard; seven grandchildren, Logan Muchler, Corey Newton, Brandon Wolfe, Tyler Wolfe, Austin Wolfe, Delaney Byrns and Aaden Wolfe.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 4-7 pm at Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Branchport Keuka Fire Department, 3686 State Route 54A, Branchport, NY 14418.
