Thomas A. Carlin, age 78, of Penn Yan, NY passed away on Thursday, September 8th, 2022 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. Tom was born in Rochester, NY on December 21, 1942, the son of the late William H. and Mildred R. Carlin. He graduated from Victor Central School, Alfred State University, University of Georgia and Penn State University. He married Carol A. VanDamme in Victor, NY on August 14th, 1965. He worked as an AG Economist for the USDA for 30 years until retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Penn Yan United Methodist Church and was very active in the community. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol A. (VanDamme) Carlin and numerous nieces, nephews and their offspring. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Penn Yan United Methodist Church, 166 Main St., Penn Yan, NY 14527.
