Shirley Kirbis

Shirley E. Kirbis, 95 of Campbell, NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 17th, 2026, in her home at the Campbell IRA. Shirley was born in Lackawanna, NY on March, 21 1931 the daughter of the late Roy and Hazell (Blundell) Kirbis.

Shirley enjoyed many things over the years, a few of her favorite things were her baby dolls, especially her baby doll named Susie. She loved horses, snow globes and was a huge Elvis fan. She would light up when she was able to see Elvis Live at different shows. She could be found carrying her baby doll everywhere she went. Her favorite color was blue, and she wanted everything blue from her clothes to her nails. Shirley enjoyed getting her nails done and participating in craft activities.

Shirley lived for the last few months at the Campbell IRA, prior to that she lived at the Keating Lane IRA and Dresden IRA. She lived for many years with her sister in family care with Linda Johnson.

Shirley will be missed by her Sister Gerry Kirbis, Nancy Langenstein and all of her peers whom she lived with over the years and the staff that cared for her. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Leroy Kirbis.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY immediately followed by her funeral service. Burial will be in East Palmyra Cemetery.
