Shawn F. Meeks, age 53, of Penn Yan, NY passed away Friday, March 12th, 2021 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. Shawn was born in Geneva, NY on April 5th, 1967. He was a motor route driver for the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle and Finger Lakes Times Newspaper. He enjoyed tinkering on all sorts of things including classic cars and mowers. He loved seeing his granddaughters who referred to him as Bop Bop . He enjoyed helping his neighbors and friends. Shawn also enjoyed spending time mowing, and was known to mow many of his neighbors lawns as well. Shawn was a jack of all trades, if Shawn couldn't fix it nobody could. Shawn is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Michelle L. (Fenton) Meeks; daughters, Amanda (Mark) Blanche and Autumn (Scott) Murphy; 3 granddaughters Savannah, Anabelle and Mattie Blanche; mother, Cheryl Detro; brother, Richard Detro; aunt, Gayle Woodruff; several cousins and nieces. He is now reunited with his best friend, Ace. In honoring his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours or service.
