Ross E. Smith, age 56, of Dundee, NY passed away on Friday, October 15th, 2021 at Geneva General Hospital. Ross was born in Penn Yan, NY on March 1st, 1965, the son of the late Roland and Barbara Smith Sr. he graduated from Dundee Central School and married Sandra Cleveland on October 17th, 1992. Ross worked as a machine operator for Vance Metal Fabricators in Geneva, NY. Ross was happiest when he was at home spending time with his wife and two children. He took pride working on projects of all sorts around their home. He could be found at the Crossing Diner enjoying breakfast every Sunday morning with family. One of his favorite things to do was to spend time with his best friend Scott Backer. They always had projects to conquer. Ross loved his children fiercely and Sandy was the love of his life. Ross will live on thru his son and daughter. What a beautiful legacy he left this world. Ross was survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra (Cleveland) Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Savanna Smith and son Joshua Smith both of Dundee; sister, Dorothy Ann (Steve) McCann of Ft. Meade, FL; brothers, Roland (Glenda Heusler) Smith of Dundee, Duane (Bernardine Rapacki) Smith of Elmira, NY and Lyman (Emmy Nodine) Smith of Eaton, NY; as well as twelve nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents Ross was predeceased by his infant son, Adam Daniel; brothers, Leonard Smith and Randy Smith; and his niece, Maranda Cleveland. Celebration of his life will be held Monday, November 8th, 2021 at the Assembly of God Church, 3646 State Rte 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527, following the services of his wife Sandra.
