Patricia E. “Patti” Simmons, 64, of Penn Yan, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Geneva Hospital with her family by her side. She was the daughter of John and Patricia Norton Murphy Sr. In addition to her parents she is also predeceased by her children, Jeremy and Caitlin King, siblings, Johnny Jr., Ilan Hendrie, Kathleen Boyle, Colleen Murphy and Maureen St. John.

She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Simmons; children, Miranda King, Jennifer King, Timothy Simmons and Lisa Simmons; grandchild that Patti and Ken raised as their own, Noah; 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Patti was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy class of 1980. She loved animals of all shapes and sizes. She took great pride in canning and keeping jars of produce to share with neighbors and friends. Patti was also an excellent cook. In keeping with her generous spirit, her final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation.

A Celebration of Life for Patti will be held at a later date and will be announced.
