"Red" Presher

Norman "Red" Presher, age 79, of Penn Yan, NY died on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Soldiers & Sailors Hospital. Norman was born in Barton, NY on January 19, 1945 to Frank and Jane Presher.
Norman was predeceased by his parents; sister Eva Wade and brother James Presher.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Wilma (Davidson) Presher and son William at home; sister Vickey Havens, Waverly, NY; brothers Frank Presher, Jr. of Great Bend, PA and Donald Presher of Prattsburgh, NY; stepbrother Dick Presher of Florida; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Norman attended Athens High School in Athens, PA and honorably served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967. Norman worked in the farming and truck driving industries, and was employed by Dale Hansen Construction until a head injury occurred in 1981. Norman enjoyed woodworking, and for many years made cut-out Christmas ornaments for schoolchildren to use as decorations.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 1-4 pm at the Penn Yan American Legion in the green roof pavilion.
