Norma Jean Johnson, 91, of Penn Yan, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at home. She was born in Penn Yan on November 3, 1929 the daughter of the late Kenneth and Edith Bush and graduated from Penn Yan Academy. She married Alfred Johnson on November 29, 1947 at the Bellona Memorial Presbyterian Church. Norma was a farmer's wife. She enjoyed getting on her John Deere and mowing the lawn. She was a member of the Bellona Memorial Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Johnson in 2000; son Larry Johnson in 2019, and her gentleman friend, Lester Jensen. She is survived by her daughter, Carleen Fox of Walworth; three grandchildren, Jennifer Remein of Macedon, Preston Fox of Marion and Christie Mosch of Penn Yan; four great grandchildren, Keziah Whitcomb and Gavin Fox of Marion, Brandon Johnston of Macedon, and Madelyn Mosch of Penn Yan; sister-in-law, Linda Johnson of Penn Yan; and her beloved feline buddy, Sammy. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, June 18, 2021 from1-2 pm at the Bellona Memorial Presbyterian Church, 93 Pre-Emption Rd., Bellona. Her funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Bellona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Bellona Memorial Presbyterian Church, 93 Pre-Emption Rd., Bellona, NY 14456 or to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456.
