Myrtle M. Thomas, age 96, of Penn Yan, NY passed away on Sunday, February 11 ^th , 2024 at the Homestead Nursing Home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Myrtle was born in Himrod, NY on May 18 ^th , 1927, the daughter of the late, George and Edith (Orr) Scott. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a past member of the Penn Yan Moose Club. She enjoyed shopping and going on cruises, but most of all Myrtle loved to spend time with her family.

Myrtle is survived by her son, David L. (Mary) Thomas; grandchildren, Leon (Elaina) Thomas, Becky (Jimmy) Keen, and David (Gideon) Thomas; great grandchildren, Rennee (John) Salamendra, Katelynn (Patrick) Kerrick, Heather Gascon, Ryan Thomas, and Ava Thomas; two great great grandchildren, Sophia Salamendra and Kaysen Kerrick. Lots of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Myrtle was predeceased by her husband, Clinton Thomas; daughter, Roberta Thomas; son Clinton Thomas Jr; and her eight siblings.

Family and friends may call from 11am to 1 pm on Saturday, February 17 ^th , 2024 at Townsend Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY 14527.
