Age 95, died on Wednesday July 8, 2026, peacefully at her beloved home on Keuka Lake, Penn Yan, NY. Mary was born in Elmira, NY, on August 15, 1930, the daughter of the late Francis and Katherine (Kole) Murphy. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Joseph, her sister, Sheila, her brother, John, and her adored grandson, Kyle Bradshaw. Mary grew up in Elmira Heights, NY, and graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School, class of 1947, and then went on to graduate from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Elmira, NY, class of 1950. Mary was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, spending most of her career at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Mary and the love of her life, Joe, were fortunate to spend many wonderful years in retirement at their summer home on Keuka Lake as well as at their winter home in Ponce Inlet, FL, where Joe doted on his “Queenie” beginning with coffee in bed each morning. Mary will be fondly remembered by all, but most especially by her loving children and grandchildren. Mary is survived by her children, Tina (Jeffrey) Bradshaw, Hobe Sound, FL; Michael (Florence) Calabucci, Loudonville, NY; Susan (Daniel) Flynn, Bradford, NY; Dr. Karen (Barry) Fingar, Pittsford, NY. Mary is also survived by her grandchildren, Dr. Matthew (Adrianna) Harris; Brian Harris, Dr. Andrew Bradshaw; Laura Calabucci; Joseph (Liz Burke) Calabucci; Jennifer (Dee) Flynn Esq.; Sean (Kierstyn) Flynn; Kathryn Flynn; Tim (Alexandria) Flynn; Ryan Flynn; Meghan Flynn; Aaron (Amy) Fingar and Adam Fingar. Great grandchildren, Greyson Harris; Briggs Harris; Fabienne Harris; Arlo Flynn; Tully Flynn; Bryce Flynn; Liam Flynn; Londynn Flynn; Kaden Flynn; Braecyn Flynn; Howard Flynn and Murphy Flynn. In addition, Mary is also survived by her younger brother, Joseph Murphy. It was Mary’s wish for no calling hours. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Church, 312 Liberty Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527 at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The family kindly requests no flowers but asks that donations be considered to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105, or Ronald McDonald House Global, 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1263. The family would also like to thank Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home for handling local funeral arrangements.
