Mark R. Daugherty

Mark R. Daugherty, 76, of Branchport, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Geneva General Hospital.

Mark was born in Starke, FL on April 8, 1949, the son of the late Meck and Helen Daugherty. He was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy.

Mark was a logger, well driller and a host of other things throughout his life. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Mark loved animals and adopted every stray that came around.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Daugherty; two sons, Bret (Trista) Daugherty of Ellensburg, WA and Richard (Jessica) Daugherty of Branchport, NY; two step-sons, Jeffrey (Christina) Smith of Clifton Springs, NY and Douglas (Jennifer) Smith of Port St. Lucie, FL; seven grandchildren, Kara, Aidan (Brie Holbrook), Anna, Erin, Eric, Adleigh, and Keetin Daugherty; great grandchildren, Colten and Harper Cotton; nephews, Jeffrey and John W. Daugherty; great niece, Harmony Daugherty; and great nephew, Meck Daugherty.
