Lydia J. Garber, 82, of Avoca, NY, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born in Berne, Indiana on August 3, 1941 the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Catherine (Schwartz) Troyer. Lydia owned and operated Garber's Greenhouse for over 40 years.

Lydia is survived by her nine children, Elizabeth (Robert) Roach, Christian Garber, Katie (Sam) Troyer, Samuel (Fannie) Garber, Joseph (Mattie) Garber, John Garber, Mary (Michael) McCullen, Paul (Bruna) Garber and David (Amara) Garber; son-in-law, Jonas Coblentz; thirty-eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; eleven siblings; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Eli Garber; children, Jeremiah Garber and Rachel Coblentz; brothers, Joseph and Noah Troyer; and grandchildren, Susanna Garber (Joseph's), Lydia and Benjamin Garber (Samuel's), and Robert Coblentz (Rachel's).

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 4-7 pm and Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 9:00-10:30 am at Wheeler Community Center, 6400 Fritz Hill Rd., Bath NY 14810. Lydia's funeral will follow at 10:30 am. Burial will be in Wheeler Amish Cemetery.
