Lois Ruth (Johnson) Klapp, age 68, of Penn Yan, NY passed away on the 25th of July, 2024 at Thompson Hospital.

Lois was born in Penn Yan on July 29th, 1955, the daughter of Carman and Flora Johnson. She married Carl R. Klapp on July 26th, 1975 at the Second Milo Baptist Church.

Lois is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Carl R. Klapp; daughter, Brenda K. (Bethany) Morris of Penn Yan; son Jeffrey R. Klapp of Clifton Springs; Three grandchildren; sister, Donna (Dale) Klaeysen of Walworth; brother, Dan Johnson of Penn Yan; as well as, Five Nieces and Nephews. In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her daughter, Angela Louise Hoaglin on February 9, 2014 and her sister, Carol Allen of Penn Yan, NY.

A celebration of Lois' life will be held on Saturday, August 31st, 2024 beginning at 1pm at the Yates County Fairgrounds. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Gertie's Small Dog Rescue, Inc., (Linda Cortese-Fadden), 60 South Granby Rd., Fulton, NY 13069.
