Geraldine C. Knapp, age 99, of Penn Yan, NY passed away Tuesday, October 19th, 2021 at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home in Penn Yan, NY. Geraldine was born in Rochester, NY on August 10th, 1922, the daughter of the late Gerald and Katherine (Menzie) Cox. Geraldine was truly a member of "The Greatest Generation". She survived and thrived through the best of times and the worst of times in the Twentieth Century. She did so with courage and tenacity while having an enormous impact on her children and everyone she met. Geraldine was a strong and charming woman. Geraldine is survived by her children, Diane (Jerry) Becker, "Jeff" John (Nancy) Zimar, J. Michael (Michele) Rose, and Jennifer (William) Allison; daughter in law, Carol Zimar; grandchildren, Michael Hawkeye Cornell, Alexandria Zimar, Katherine Zimar, Sean Allison, Brent (Gabby) Allison, Cody Allison, Genevieve Becker, Theresa Becker, and Amy Becker, as well as, seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Geraldine was predeceased by her husbands, Frank Zimar, Howard Rose and Charles Knapp; son, Stephen Zimar; and her brother, Charles Cox.
