Doris (Washburn) Perry, age 92, of Branchport, NY, a life long resident of the Town of Italy and Prattsburgh area, passed away at home on Friday, February 24th, 2023. Doris was born in Prattsburgh, NY, the daughter of the late Raymond and Viola (Forth) Washburn. She was a bus driver for Prattsburgh Bus Lines and worked for many years at the Prattsburgh Market Place. Doris is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Charles) Ellis of Torrey, NY; sons, Fred Perry of Branchport, Ed (Janet) Perry of Branchport, and John (Shawna) Perry of Prattsburgh; sister, Norma Schenk of Dundee; Nine grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren; and One Great-Great Grandchild; and several cousins. In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband, Russell Perry in 1984; brothers, Robert (Sarah) Washburn and Richard (Ruth) Washburn; and her brother-in-law, George Schenk. A celebration of Doris' life will be announced at a later date. Interment at Italy Hill Cemetery will be at the convenience of her family.
