Chris W. Petersen, age 65, died Saturday November 19, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Chris lived in Penn Yan his whole life. He was a hard worker all of his life with the last job being at Coach and Equipment in Penn Yan, NY. He was the son of Robert and Ethelyn Petersen. Survived by his children, Christopher Petersen, (Kristina) of Archdale, NC. , and Cristyanna Barnes of Sophia, NC. Step-son Timothy Petersen (Christy) of Asheboro, NC. Grandchildren, Christina Leyden, and Joshua Barnes, both of Trinity, NC. Step–Grandchildren, Haley Billups, Natalee Billups, Landon Petersen, Levi Petersen, all of Ashboro, NC, and Grady Decker of Archdale, NC. Great-grandchildren, Scotty and Damien Everhart, and Amarah, all of Trinity, NC. Chris is also survived by the mother of his children, Kandy Petersen, of Archdale, NC and his long time companion, Linda Elwell, of Penn Yan, NY. Siblings, Richard (Cathy), Robert (Melody), Cindy, all of Penn Yan, NY. Lindy (Jacob) Newkirk of Branchport, NY, Roger (Lesley) of Broadbrook, CT, Alfred (Karen) of Port Orange, FL, and Kevin (Michele) of Bradford, PA. Chris was pre-deceased by his parents and his great-granddaughter, Nova Everhart. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of his family at Nettle Valley Cemetery.
