Carole L. (Lewis) Whittaker, age 86, of Bluff Point, NY died at home in the Town of Jerusalem, NY on Thursday, January 13th, 2022. Carole was born in Elmira, NY on December 20th, 1935, the daughter of the late Chester A. and Erla (Knapp) Lewis. She graduated from Southside High School in Elmira, NY in 1954. Carole married E. William Whittaker in Elmira on June 26th, 1965. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Penn Yan and she enjoyed bowling. Carole is survived by her husband of 56 ½ years, E. William Whittaker; daughters, Bonnie Broan of Farmington, NY and Tina VanNorstrand of Canandaigua, NY; son, Mark L. Whittaker of Manorville, NY; grandchildren, Brittany L. Broan, Amanda L. Broan, Kayla VanNorstrand, Marrik J. Whittaker, and Priya R. Whittaker; brother, Kent Lewis of Bluff Point, NY. In addition to her parents, Carole was predeceased by her sister, Faye E. Lewis; mother and father in law, Mr. & Mrs. Ervin W. Whittaker; paternal grandfather Arthur A. Lewis; and maternal grandfather, Earl H. Knapp all of Elmira, NY.
