Beverly (Smart) Hines of Penn Yan formely of Branchport, passed away peacefully at home on March, 14th, 2024. Beverly was born March 3rd, 1935 in Branchport, NY, daughter of Clarence Smart Sr. and Pearl I. Davis. She was easy going and loved people. She enjoyed playing all sorts of games. Beverly had many jobs: Micheal Sterns, waitressing, cleaning, hair cuts, an all around helper. She loved music, food, dancing, traveling, reading, puzzles, the comforts of home and GOD. She was the last of the Smart-Hines generation. Beverly is survived by her three children, Betheny, Darryl and Cheryl; twenty-two grandchildren; the many blessing of great and great-great grandchildren, too many to count to which she loved dearly; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Beverly was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Wilbur Hines; and siblings, twin sister, Eleanor, Clarence, Jayson, Joseph, Ella and Patricia. At her request, there will be no prior calling hours and a private funeral at the convenience of her family.
