Barbara Jane Tones Peterson, age 89, of Penn Yan, NY passed away Monday, December 14th, 2020 at Living Center North in Geneva, NY. Barbara was born in Penn Yan, NY on July 10th, 1931, the daughter of the late Albert and Mildred (Russell) Tones. She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Gregory) Johnson, Chris (Penny) Peterson, Nancy Peterson, Janice (Richard) Folts, and Clifford D. (Donna) Peterson; grandchildren, Sarah (Gregory) Garren, Carrie Spelman, Jim (Kimberlee) Peterson, Robert (Jennifer) Peterson, Chris (Janean) Sparks, Carrie (Tim) Vils, Kelly (Michael) Wells, Karen (Daniel) Dunham, Vanessa (Kyle) Watkins, Erica (Chris) Madden, Lee Peterson; and sister, Elda "Oddie" Slater; great grandchildren, Andrew Garren, Steven Spelman, Justin Spelman, Wyatt Peterson, Mollee Peterson, Emmett Peterson, Duke Peterson,, Liv Peterson, Zachary Vils, Kaitlyn Vils, Jenna Vils, Morgan Wells, Brandon Wells, Emma Dunham, Molly Dunham, Carter Watkins and Lia Watkins. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Clifford A. Peterson; sister, Jenny VanKeuran; and brothers, Burton and Howard Tones. A graveside service will be held at City Hill Cemetery in the Town of Torrey, NY privately for her family.
