Barbara Jean Carroll, 61 of Keuka Park, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 27 ^th , 2024 at the Mozaic Group home where she resided in Dundee, NY.

Barbara was born in Canandaigua, NY on July 21 ^st , 1962, the daughter of Jean and the late Donald Carroll.  She went to the BOCES Special Ed School for 12 years.  Barbara then moved into a group home in Penn Yan.  She started attending the program at the Yates ARC where she worked in the workshop for many years.  Barb liked to do scrapbooking, working with beads and enjoyed doing kitchen work.  She was one of the sweetest, gentlest people you have ever met and touched many hearts in her community.  She was loved by many people and will be missed by all.

Barb is survived by her mother, Jean Carroll; her brother, Jeff (Jenny) Carroll; her sister, Nancy Downs and brother, John Carroll.  She is also survived by many nieces, Brittany (Nick) Brinkman, Kirsten (Blake) Ramsey, Maya Carroll, Chase Carroll and Alexis Carroll and her nephew, Nicholas (McKenna) Carroll.  Also her great niece, Kennedy Dries and great nephew, Ville Brinkman. Her aunt, Phyllis and uncle, Don Christensen and uncle, Barry (Pat) Carroll.

Family and friends may call from 11 am to 1pm on Friday, March 8 ^th , 2024 at Townsend Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY  14527.  Her service will follow at 1pm with special words by Deacon Tom Ruda.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan.  All are welcome to join the family at the Penn Yan Moose Lodge at 2pm to celebrate Barbie.  In lieu of flowers, her family encourages everyone to make a donation to the Keuka Comfort Care Home, PO Box 107, Penn Yan, NY  14527.  Memories of Barb maybe shared with her family and friends at townsendwoodzinger.com
